Adorable Fiona has had her first surgery and is doing wonderfully.  Because of her age, both legs were done at the same time.   She has several months of bandage changes and recovery ahead of her.  As you can see from the pictures, she is being spoiled rotten while she is recovering.   The Vet Techs have taken to carrying her around in a sling to keep her close by and to make sure she is comfortable.  She loves being around people and will cry if she is not in an area where she can see people.  To make sure she can be moved to areas where people are all the time, they have adapted a  plastic container with a bed in it.   Since her legs are in casts, they have put holes in the bed, so her legs hang straight down, and she is in an upright position looking at everyone.   She loves this position since she can see everyone in the room.  I am sure as she heals they will come up with more incredible ways to keep her moving around and involved.   The Vet. Techs that work with our animals are the best around.  They go above and beyond to make sure each animal gets special attention while they are in their care.
