Sweet OTTO is still with us being trained.   He can only go to a very special home that understands his fear of other dogs.    Because of all that has happened to this sweet boy, he has to be an only dog.   As you can see from the picture, he prefers to be outside all the time.  He stays outside most of the day relaxing and then comes in at night.   He likes to be able to look all around his area to make sure that he is okay and that no other dogs are coming near him.  This wonderful dog was tortured so badly that he is the only dog that we have that we will allow to be placed in a home where he is outside most of the time.  We have had Otto for several years.  During that time he has had extensive training and socialization to get him to where he is today.  We have finally discovered what works for him and what enables him to relax and be happy.   All we care about is that an animal knows love and can finally relax and enjoy their Life.   Quality of Life is our top priority.  

If you think you might be that person, please fill out an Adoption Application for him.   We will keep Otto with us until the right home comes along.    This amazing dog deserves a home of his own just like every dog we have.   They each have their own history that prevents them from being able to do certain things.    We do our best to overcome as much as possible but some traumas remain with certain dogs for a very long time.   When that happens, we work to find a solution for the animal so they can live as normal a life as possible.   Otto's solution is for him to be in a protected area where he feels safe.    Outside he feels safe and loved.   He then will come in and sleep inside where he is finally relaxed and comfortable.
