I couldn't resist doing this update with both of these two incredible dogs. BUBBLES and SPENCER have been cancer buddies for the last month. They go to the cancer center together to get their chemo. They have each become totally in love since they started this process. Each supports and encourages the other to go into the hospital. We love seeing them play and have fun in the process. We have wonderful homes for both of these wonderful dogs and are so glad they have had this memorable time together.
BUBBLES is doing incredible with her chemo. She has not had one problem or any discomfort. Both dogs are given supplements to help them with the process. Bubbles infection is gone and her kidney values have improved since we increased her fluids along with the antibiotic. Bubbles will have reconstructive surgery on her eye lid in the next month at the same time she is spayed. The scar area on her face has started to fill in with hair and is now nothing more than a beautiful reminder of what is possible when you believe in Miracles.
SPENCER is another one of our Miracle dogs that made the impossible possible. He has one more month of chemo and then he will go to his new home. Since we started him on his protocol, we have not had any new swelling in his chest and throat area. Our sweet boy is running around playing and loving life. We had to put a port in for his chemo because it was almost impossible to find a vein to do his treatment. We decided the discomfort was too much for him and opted to put him under and put in a port. His treatments have gone beautifully since we did this.
Chemotherapy is very expensive for these two wonderful dogs. We only do chemo if we feel it is the last resort to give any animal the best possible outcome. Each animal is given supplemental care to support their immune system and to prevent damage that is done by doing chemo. I am happy to report they are both doing wonderful and are healthy and happy. Please, help us with their chemotherapy and medical care during this time.
