This incredibly sweet 2 year old boxer was hit by a car in Camden, SC and left to die.  A good samaritan picked him up and brought him to Animal Control in Camden, SC.  He was x-rayed and it was determined he had a fractured femur right above the joint.  He would definitely require surgery but no one would step up for him because they couldn’t afford the surgery.  The shelter just fell in love with this wonderful boy.  If no one stepped up to do the surgery, they were going to have to euthanize him.  No one stepped up and we could not risk him being put down.  This dog has wagged his tail from sun up to sun down.  He has never been anything but sweet. He will give you kisses, even with a broken leg that hurts.  He has undergone surgery and a plate was put in.  He is uncomfortable but on the mend.  Julius gets along with everyone.  He is fine with other dogs and will be available for adoption once he has healed.  This is one great dog that will make a wonderful addition to any family.

Julius is doing great.  He is ready to rock and roll but can’t right now. He will be  on restricted exercise for another three weeks.  He has a new family that he will be going to as soon as he is able.

Julius has gone to his new family and is doing wonderful.  We will have his place removed in two weeks because it has been causing him to have an infection since it was put in.

THIS WONDERFUL DOG HAS BEEN ADOPTED BUT IS STILL HAVING LOTS OF PROBLEMS WITH HIS LEG BECAUSE OF A STAPH INFECTION.

We unfortunately had to remove Julius’ leg.  No matter what we did for this wonderful dog, his leg was just not stable enough to hold him up so we finally decided it is best for him to be a tripod and he has been doing wonderful since then.
