This beautiful cat came into the Greenville shelter with a broken leg.  An old injury that was left untreated and unusable.  That is just the kiss of death for a cat in that shelter with so many beautiful healthy cats that are also up to be euthanized.  She purred her way into everyone’s heart and off she went to our vet.  When she came in, they called her Simone.  Her name has since been changed to Juno and you will soon hear why.

In the process of getting ready to do the surgery and also spay her we discovered she was pregnant.  We did the amputation, which went well but Juno got a terrible URI and struggled for her life for several days.  She required 24 hour care to keep her alive.  On top of losing her leg, being pregnant, having the URI, she got terribly depressed.  When we thought all was lost it was decided to let her out of her cage and roam around the vet office.  The vet has her dog Jasper that stays there during the day.  Juno decided she needed some companionship and someone else to look after her and that is just what Jasper did.  Her depression lifted, she started to eat and she got over the URI.

She just recently gave birth to 4 adorable kittens by c-section.  Two did not make it and two are still hanging in there.  Now you know why we named her JUNO.  She has an incredible foster that we are hoping will also adopt her.

Please, help us by donating to her medical bills so we can help more sweet, loving animals like JUNO that would be euthanized because of a broken leg.
