This sweet adorable 6 month old shepherd mix pup was allowed to roam free with other dogs.  One of his playmates was struck and killed by a train and was left on the tracks.  This pup was laying beside it's dead playmate when it was struck and lost half of it's foot.  The owner kept Kane for three days without any medical care before releasing to the shelter in Laurens, SC.  He has been at the vet being treated for a terrible infection and is having his leg amputated today.  He is also being neutered and brought current on all his vaccinations at the same time.  How this adorable pup survived the pain is unbelievable.  He was in terrible shape when he was picked up.  All he cares about is giving lots of love and kisses to anyone that comes near him.

This is Kane in his new home enjoying life.  He is such a sweet dog that really deserved a loving home where someone would not put him in harms way.
