Our little Angel is growing and getting bigger. She can now stand up on her own for brief periods of time and then has to lean against a wall, or she will fall. She is getting daily rehab to continue building up the strength in her legs. We sedated her on Wednesday to have Dr. King adjust her shunt pressure and to get a Cat Scan. The scan allowed us to see how much fluid has drained and how much her brain has filled in. The results were amazing. Her brain has almost surrounded the shunt that was put in. The device is still working, and the pressure was adjusted. Needless to say, we were all delighted with the results.
We have posted videos of Lamb Chop during the procedure and of her daily Physical Therapy in her cart. She gets to run all around the Clinic when she does her rehab. Lamb Chop has to remain in the hospital because of the extensive rehab that is still required for her ever to walk again. We know it is just a matter of time before we wake up one morning and without realizing it, our beautiful pup stands up and walks on her own. We are in this for the long-haul with her. Her bills have always been high and continue to be so. That is just part of the process of seeing her through this. We would greatly appreciate any donation big or small to offset her continued care. Thanks for caring and being part of her Journey to Walk.
