Meet Lucky. He is a new member of Noah’s Arks Rescue. He will soon take a flight from Alabama to our vets in Greenville, SC. courtesy of our dear friends at Pilots N Paws and pilot Rhonda. He was abandoned and left to die on a busy street in Killen, Alabama. Another rescue was going to take him in but they could not afford his high medical bills. A wonderful foster has been looking after him but she is too overwhelmed and also couldn’t afford his bills so we stepped up to make sure he gets all the medical care, love and affection he so deserves. This is a young (maybe 2 month old) Great Pyrenees puppy. He has had a horrible life to be in the condition he is in now. According to the foster, he was good for a little while and then became disoriented and has been throwing up. He also has a heart murmur. He will be at our veterinary hospital for some time to get him staple and to find out all the medical issues this sweet dog has from having this condition for so long. Once we get him on the mend, we will then have a specialist determine if anything needs to be done for his heart murmur or if it is caused because he has been so sick. One thing is for sure, he will know nothing but love and kindness from here on out. He is just a baby and we will nurture him back mentally and physically.
We know this has been a tough week for all of our donors. It seems like every day we have had to lean on you to help us with these wonderful animals. We appreciate all that you do to make it possible for us to help pups like Lucky. Please, don’t abandon us now.
Lucky is now at the medical facility where he is being treated. As you can see his hair has been clipped and he is feeling much better. Flying in the plane did not seem to bother him at all. We will get a lot of his blood work result back this week and then we will know how much damage has been done to his organs and how well he will be able to tolerate the medication that he needs. We had to start him on medicine for his heart murmur. As soon as the worst is over for this sweet boy we will have a specialist do a check-up on his heart and see what the next step will be for him. He is sure feeling a lot better and is loving having people love on him.
Lucky is being pampered at the vet where he is getting all of his treatments. We are seeing lots of improvements in how he is feeling. Everyday he shows us how much better he feels by how much he wants to play.
Lucky is doing wonderful. It is amazing how bad this little one looked and how great he looks now. he was neutered this week and is doing wonderful. He will be going to his foster home this week-end.
Look how wonderful this incredible pup looks. We do not believe he is a Great Pyrenees but is a chow mix. He is an incredible dog that just loves to play and love on you. He is finally getting to be a puppy. If you have forgotten how bad he was, go down to the bottom of the page and look. This is a completely different dog.
Lucky is ready to go to his new home. Look how wonderful he looks. He gets along great with dogs, kids, etc. He is a big love bug.
Lucky in his new home. Look how incredible he looks and how happy.
