Greenville, SC.....Sweet LuLu is an adorable 10 week old, 10 lb. Rottie Mix that was brought in by her owner to the Emergency Clinic in Greenville, SC.  The owner signed her over saying she had been hit by a car.  One rear leg was broken in two places, the other rear leg was fractured in one and her pelvis was fractured.  We do not see any of the normal signs on her that a vehicle did this to her.  She does not have any of the normal road rash or bruising that would come with the kind of impact that would have caused this many breaks and fractures.  It is possible but we are very skeptical.  Even if the vehicle was going really slow, she would have more internal injuries which she does not have.  It looks more like injuries that we see far too often where someone has intentionally injured a puppy. LuLu was transferred to Greenville County Animal Control from the Emergency Clinic where she was going to be euthanized because of her injuries if no one stepped up for her.  We had her picked up and taken to our vet and then transferred to the surgical facility in Columbia where they did emergency surgery on her.  As you can see from the picture above, she has really been through it.  I couldn’t get my leg in that position on a good day but this seems to be the only way she can get comfortable for the time being.  She will be transferred to a rehab center where she will recover from her injuries and her surgery.  With lots of rehab she should get the full use of her legs and hips back so she can get back to being an adorable puppy.  This little baby is so sweet.  With all the pain she has been in, barely a whimper comes out of her.  She only wants love and affection. She will curl up under your chin and wants to be so close that you start to feel like she has become part of you.

LuLu is doing great since her surgery.  She is having to do different forms of rehab all through the day to restore her walking.  I can’t even begin to tell  you how adorable and sweet this wonderful little puppy is.  She is the most trusting, loving little sweetheart of a pup we have had the pleasure to help.  She will be at the rehab center for another week and then will be back at the surgical facility.  She is using her legs and is getting more comfortable each day.  She has not made a peep since we brought her in.  Her eyes say it all, she is 100% bundle of LOVE.

We are now accepting applications for LuLu to be adopted once she has completed her rehab.

Sweet LuLu is still doing rehab and will be doing it for another week.  This is one of the sweetest little pups.  She just loves to cuddle in your neck and stay there.  Please, fill out an Adoption Application if you are interested in this wonderful puppy.

LuLu is doing great with her rehab. Her leg is remaining straight without turning in.  Isn’t she just adorable.  She has made a lot of progress since her surgery.

Lulu has completed the first part of her rehab and will be ready to be adopted in three weeks.  She is doing great and such a sweet little girl.

Adorable LuLu has been adopted into a wonderful family and is doing great.  We still need funds for all of her medical bills.  Please, help us with those so we can save more wonderful animals.
