This sweet, shy German Shepherd pup has a terrible case of demodex that is compounded by the fact that she has had it for so long that she is covered with sores that are infected.  She is skinny and has been all alone in the Miami / Dade County shelter for weeks like this.  With help from our friends in Florida we were able to get her out.  She is now at the vet being treated and monitored for the exact dose of medicine for this sweet pup.  We think she is about 4 months old but will not know until she starts to put some weight on and the demodex clears up.

Mandy is recovering nicely from her demodex and is finally getting over an upper respiratory infection.  She is such a sweet dog.  There is no excuse for someone allowing this to happen to her.

Mandy is slowly getting her fur back and her skin infections are going away.
