I am happy to report that sweet Marigold is still with us and is holding her own.   Given the condition she was in when she arrived, we are not expecting her to have a lot of energy.   Our primary goal for the weekend was for her to rest as much as possible and allow her body to heal.  She has been sleeping like for a baby and loving all of the attention.  We have to keep her in t-shirts and lots of blankets to keep her body temperature up.  It is very low because she has no hair or body fat.   The best news is that her heart rate is normal and not showing any signs of stress.

All of the Specialists on her case have decided she has to have the mass removed as soon as possible.   The mass has a terrible infection that is putting her Life in danger of her body becoming Septic.  If that happens, she will not survive.   Everyone feels good about the mass removal as far as the ease in removing it.  To prepare Marigold's body for the surgery, she was given blood transfusions yesterday.   The tumor is taking too much of Marigold's vital nutrients, and it is also preventing her from gaining the weight back she has lost.   Our sweet girl loves kibble and eats lots of small meals all the time.  She eats whenever food is offered which is wonderful.  Surgery is the only option right now.   As weak as she is, the Specialists think she is strong enough to survive.   Please, keep wonderful Marigold in your prayers that she survives the surgery, so we have more time to turn her Life around.  She deserves this chance, and we are going to give it to her.
