Sweet Miko has taken a turn for the worse, unfortunately.   His system has gotten so out of balance that it is affecting his heart and respiratory system.   He was transferred to an Oxygen Chamber earlier today to help his breathing.  All the blood and fluid loss has taken a toll on this tiny baby.  We brought in a Cardiologists to do an echo of his heart and oversee his care along with the Critical Care Specialists.  It is hard to tell from the pictures how emaciated sweet Miko is.  His body is swollen from the Demodex and the infected wounds that have opened up.   He is eating but is so underweight that we are having a hard time getting enough food in him.  We have to give him small meals to prevent Re-Feeding Syndrome, but he is too lethargic to eat a lot of the time.

This little Angel should have died a long time ago.  The fact he is still here fighting is because he wants to be here.   Everyone is in love with him and is putting all their energy into showing him as much love as possible.  He short LIFE has been one of pain and suffering.   How anyone could sit back and allow this to happen to an innocent puppy is beyond Animal Abuse.   There is no excuse for the lack of compassion and abuse that we see Daily.  Open your eyes and look at what you are allowing to happen by doing NOTHING.

The best news is that we have some of the most amazing Specialists in charge of his Medical Care.  If anyone, can pull this sweet pup through, they can.  Please, keep this little Angel in your Prayers that he can hold on a little longer so we can pull him through this.
