PIBBLE

Latest Updates

Sweet PIBBLE is one of the sweetest dogs.   I am amazed anyone would ever allow this beautiful pup to have one day of suffering.    He wants nothing more than to please the person he is around.   Pibble has made a lot of progress but still has a long way to go.  He wants so much to be part of a Family and is still very timid and scared.   He has gained weight but has a lot more weight to gain.    We see the scale going up but because of his size, we don't see him filling out, and he eats a lot.   It just goes to show how emaciated he was when we rescued him.

Pibbles's surgery went well to remove his eye, and he has adapted to having limited sight.   He is always going to have a tilt to his head, but it does not limit his ability to get around.  He is a little slow and cautious but is getting around better than we had expected.   His ear drum is still detached and can possibly grow back together.   It seems like the bullet did as much damage as possible without killing him.   We are still amazed he survived because the pain he suffered through was unimaginable.    Pibble needs lots of time to allow his body to declare what is going to remain once his body heals.   We are hoping the bullet that is left in his body will stay where it is and will not move.   If that happens, we will not have to go in and remove it.

We are way behind on Donations for this wonderful pup.  Please, Donate whatever you can so he has the best possible chance to recover.   He is one of the sweetest dogs and deserves a Life free of suffering.

We have had no issues with Pibble with other dogs.  He is shy and scared and needs a home as soon as we can find one for him.  We can continue all of him medical needs from a loving home.   If we don't find a home at this time, a Foster would be very beneficial.   We love all of our dogs unconditionally.   No love takes the place of a Home they can call their own.   A  lot of dogs we take in do fine without a home right now because we keep them so busy and active with the Trainers.    That is not the case with Pibbles.  He needs to be laying at someone's feet doing nothing but sleeping and healing.   This way, he can come out of his shell slowly and can learn to trust again.   Please, contact us if you think your Family might be perfect for him.   Thanks for caring and making his Journey to Heal, possible.
