This sweet cat was brought into Greenville, SC last week with four large hernias and lots of pain. With all that pain, he was still as sweet as could be. Lots of people wanted him but no one was willing to step up to have him evaluated and taken care of. The further we got into it, the more we realized this sweet cat had used up about 8 of it's 9 lives. If we didn't step up this great cat was going to be euthanized because no one wanted to take on the burden of the cost. We decided to let UVS do the exploratory surgery to fix the hernias and find out what was wrong with this cat. They agreed, this is a cat worth fighting for. What they found was a cat that had been hit and run over by a car. His liver and bladder was torn away from where it should have been and was all bulging out the hernias. How this cat has survived we will never know. He had formed adhesions all over his insides that had his organs in the wrong place. They cleaned up and re-attached everything that was damaged from the accident. Rama now has one life left to live as a cat free of pain and suffering. He fought to stay alive with unbelievable odds and we fought for him.
