SNOW (Pitbull)

Latest Updates

I am happy to report that sweet snow has survived the two major surgeries she had to endure.  The first surgery to remove the large mass growing on her mouth was traumatic given how emaciated she was.  Snow did far better than we expected and was just beginning to feel good when this poor pup had to go back into surgery to remove the obstruction.   The two surgeries have certainly taken a toll on her.

We also discovered that Snow had been abandoned after nursing puppies. We do not have a clue where the puppies are.  We are assuming she was abandoned when the puppies were old enough to be sold. This sweet pups Life just gets worse and worse at every turn.   She is doing well today but is still emaciated.   We are having to closely monitor her food intake, so she gets enough small meals to keep her nourished but not too much to make her sick.

When Dr. Nanfelt let us know about the plastic bags, she had ingested she let us know that she would probably pass more bags when she goes to the bathroom that were in the lower part of her colon.  She has been doing that today.  We are hopeful tomorrow her bowels will begin to pass normal stool.

Snow is very depressed with all of the surgery she has had.  Part of that is her medication, but the other part is the fact she had given up and prepared to die.   She loves being loved on and being around other dogs.   We are keeping her comfortable and making sure she knows that we are always there for her.

We believe Snow is between 3-4 years old.  She has beautiful white teeth and thick white eyelashes surrounding the most amazing eyes.  I think she is much younger than her body looks.  The next week for Snow is going to be critical for her to pull out of this.   If Snow didn't want to be here, she had several major medical reasons to give up and die.  The fact she is alive is a testament to her Will to Live.

We look forward to nurturing her health back and showering her with unconditional Love.   Her days of being abandoned are gone.  She may get sick and tired of all the attention, but we will never tire of giving it to her.

Thanks for helping us with her Medical Bills and giving us the opportunity to save her Life.    Snow is our little Miracle because YOU chose the Gift of Life.

Have a very blessed Holiday Season.
