Sweet Trooper is doing wonderfully and is ready for a new home he can call his own. The wounds in his sinus cavity have healed and are not causing him any issues. All the medical problems we were worried about resolved over time. He still has pellets in his body and some shards from the bullet, but those will either work their way out or will remain in the body not causing any issues. You would be surprised how many dogs we rescue have old pellets in their body we discover when we do x-rays. I would say it is close to 25% of the animals we take in.
Trooper is the sweetest dog that never has a bad day. He needs to wear a t-shirt that says, "Life is Good" because that is exactly how he feels every day. We hate that someone thought so little of him that they would shoot him. Those days are behind him now, and his future is looking bright and hopeful.
Thanks for caring about Trooper and being part of his Journey to Survive and Thrive surrounded with people that love and adore him.
