Sweet Vidalia looks so much better than when we first got her. She has had several procedures each day to help her wounds heal as quickly as possible. Her antibiotics have been adjusted for the bacteria she was growing, and the draining has slowed down a lot. The gaping hole on her chin had to be surgically closed because every time she moved her mouth, it re-opened. Several other smaller places were also stitched up, and drains had to be placed in the worst areas that still have a lot of drainage. We are hoping she will be well enough next week to be transferred to our Vets in Savannah. Right now, she has to remain in Emergency Care to make sure her infection is getting better not worse and for daily wound care.
Vidalia is still as sweet a can be. Everyone loves her. All she does is wag her tail when another dog passes her kennel. When the Vet Techs go in to work on her, she is all kisses and hugs. Vidalia is going to make a wonderful member of anyone's Family.
